The Framework organizes behavioral and developmental science into a consistent methodology for examining products, environments, and experiences. It defines four dimensions and a four-step evaluation process.

FOUR DIMENSIONS

What we look at

What we look at

What we look at

Context

The physical, social, and cultural setting in which behavior happens.

Cognition

The attention, memory, emotion, and understanding a person brings to the moment.

Choice

The options available and how they are presented.

Feedback

What happens after a choice and how it shapes the next one.

01 Observe

Study the real setting and the people in it.

02 Model

Organize what we see with the relevant research evidence.

03 Test

Check ideas and recommendations against evidence and, where possible, real use.

04 Embed

Translate findings into practical changes that fit the setting.

These contexts define the scope of methodological application. Conclusions depend on the evidence available for each setting and the limits of the evaluation.

A defined methodology. Explicit limits.

CEDES is CogniCurve’s evidence system for evaluating how children’s products align with developmental science. It combines a developmental ontology, an evidence review protocol, and a traceable evaluation process. Independent testing is part of the research program.
